Royal Visit, Regal Present

In 1983, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II visited UBC and opened the newly built Imaging Research Centre. (The centre is a partnership between UBC and the Djavad Mowfaghian Centre.) Thirty years later, UBC President Toope and philanthropist Dr. Djavad Mowfaghian welcomed Prince Andrew, the Duke of York KG GCVO ADC, who visited the campus to dedicate the cornerstone of the new Djavad Mowfaghian Centre for Brain Health.
