And the Heat goes on

It took more than five years and two years of probationary play but the UBC Okanagan Heat took it past the required three-quarters majority vote to become a full member of the Canada West Universities Athletic Association (CWUAA). The UBC Thunderbirds and Heat can now officially compete – against each other – and offer what UBC President Dr. Stephen Toope called a “great motivator for both campuses” but without specifying his own team preference.
